Anthem is defined as a rousing or uplifting song identified with a particular group, body, or cause. Based on this, one would think that the Lumasag-Rillas families have a family anthem (2 songs actually, Now I Know and It's A Sin To Tell A Lie)

Buena Fe tells me that when she was younger, she would go with her parents to attend family gatherings of relatives in the Lumasag-Rillas side. She recalls seeing her father, with the accordion,  singing with gusto along with his Lumasag cousins.

She suggested to her cousins, nephews and nieces that we sing these songs in the family reunion planned on June, 2020. Due to the covid-19 pandemic, the reunion has been re-scheduled to 2021. So I embedded in this blog, the videos of these songs, together with lyrics, so family members can familiarize and rehearse. We have a year to do that.
