Rachel (Ginnifer Goodwin) is a reserved, single New York attorney who has spent years pining for her law school crush, Dex (Colin Egglesfield), but never acted on her feelings. Now, as her 30th birthday approaches, she watches Dex get engaged to her vivacious best friend, Darcy (Kate Hudson), a charming but self-absorbed party girl.
