Sunday, February 20, 2022 was a happy occasion for the family. It was the wedding day of my fifth child, daughter Inday Alessandra. Fathers say the tired cliche that "no I'm not losing a daughter but gaining a son."
Instead, I'll quote my grandson who said "Tita Inday, it would be weird to go to Lolo's house and not see you there."
Having seen her practically everyday for thirty-two years, it would indeed be weird, that I won't see her now as often as I used to. Although she is just a phone call away, there's that gnawing feeling of emptiness, of something lost though knowing it's still there. Alessandra has always been a picture of happiness. I saw her as the happiest that day.
One can only wish it will forever stay that way.
